An angry old man is a dangerous man . . . to himself. Wind some guy up and they’ll do things they don’t ordinarily do. Why? Because they’re mad, they’re not happy, they are fuming. Most of the time they get over it unless someone lights their fuse.

  Weight lifting is for everyone, more or less, weight-wise. Lifting is something you do every day whether you log it as such, or not. I’m a fan of trying to tell the difference between lifters and non-lifters.

MODERN ELDERS SEEK AUDIENCE WITH YOUTHS

Modern elders want to be heard by someone. They have much to impart to the rising generations, but there’s a problem. Can the ‘Me Generation’ ever get over itself enough to make sense? Will young people ever trust those who said never trust anyone over thirty?

THE WAY YOU DO ANYTHING IS THE WAY YOU DO EVERYTHING

Agree or disagree, but the way you do anything explains a lot. If you have an identity crisis do a quick review of the past day to see who you are. What you did yesterday is who you are today. Actions speak louder than words, so what did you do yesterday?

CARE ENOUGH WHEN IT MATTERS, OR . . .

Does anyone care enough? Yes? No? Depends? Ask someone who cares about everything, all the time, with every fiber in their soul, blah, blah, blah. They care, just ask them. How can anyone care so much about so many things? What’s the secret? Please continue:

The New Yorker magazine is my only subscription and I’m surprised how much fun it is. I actually look forward to it, which has been a surprise over the past year. I know what I’m doing on New Yorker Day:

Kris Kristofferson died yesterday. I found out in a text from one of my guitar guys. “RIP Bobby McGee.” We mourned Tom Petty’s passing, now Kris. In baby boomer world, it’s reminder of our tenuous grip on life.

TAKING TIME, MAKING TIME

Taking time for the little things is something we’re supposed to do. Making time to get it right is always the challenge. In some worlds, maybe yours, time is elusive, slippery, until you get rewired one way or the other.
