CHANGING TIMES, LIKE LAST TIME

Changing times can break you. “You can only pull out of the times what the times will give you. “You create out of your experience. “If your experiences are the same as the guys’ next door and he ain’t doin’ nothin’, then you aren’t going to be doing much either.” Bob Dylan

NATURE SURPRISE, THE GOOD KIND

A nature surprise is what I hope for every time I leave the house. It might be in the air, on the ground, or in a tree. I’m not looking for a snake or an alligator. Not deer, elk, or coyote. I’ve got a zoo for all of that.

OLD STORY? THEY’RE ALL OLD STORIES THE OLDER YOU GET

NATURAL BEAUTY, OR CLOSE ENOUGH

Natural beauty? You know it when you see it. You should know it when you see it after a certain age. Do you see natural beauty, or do beauty ‘influencers’ show you? Let’s start at the beginning. Let’s start with your mom, my mom, any mom.

PICTURE GREATER TODAY WITH CHARLIE SANDBO

Picture Greater shows someone in tune with nature. In this case they grew up and got in touch with something that got in touch with nature. Either way, photographer Charlie Sandbo attracts nature to him. Does he ever. He’s a nature magnet. He also carries a camera and knows how to use it. This is […]

AMERICAN STORIES: MOVING ON TO NEW LAND

American stories in early Oregon were about pioneers, travel, and hard work. How hard? As hard as it’s ever been clearing land by hand. But first they had to get here. And they’re still coming.
