CASUAL BIRD WATCHING WITH BABY DUCK

Casual bird watching is just a short drive away to the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge.
You never know what you’ll see, like this Egret.
A special egret. Why special? It has friends.
An egret and a blue heron together?

They hung out together and left together.
Sounds like friends in the wild.

It’s good seeing birds of a feather flocking together in mutual support.
Later on I did the same thing.

My Bird Brethren: Oregon Ducks

Further south from the wildlife refuge the Oregon Ducks gathered in Autzen Stadium.
It wasn’t raining, but the ball was slippery, popping out time and time again.
You can’t lose the ball on turnovers that many times and expect success.
It was a two point stomp down that could have been twenty.
The scrappy Bruins came to Oregon loaded for Duck.
Their new coach had been here for the last game last year coaching James Madison.
He saw the stadium in defeat. He saw it as the victor this time.
From Sports Illustrated:

“Just, you know, just I was here before. You know, we were here last year.
We ended our season and [they] sent us home, and it was just want to take a second and just feel it and see it one more time before I walked out of the building,” Chesney said.

My Game Plan

No fumbles.
No interceptions.
No turnovers.
That’s a win for everyone except the Ducks.

PS:

With a good luck Oregon baby, good luck hat, a good luck Oregon shirt, and a good luck Oregon jacket, it wasn’t enough to pull out a win for the team, but we had hopes.

PSS:

In other news we learned about a nine foot nurse making a better world for future Ducks.
I’m holding our baby while mom welcomes the new kids to the game. (Hey Kelly)
Call it a win-win, with an extra win in there.
