NO FEAR, OR LOTS OF PRACTICE

No fear is a brand and lifestyle. As for the lifestyle, it’s a lie. Who’s not afraid? Everybody’s afraid, but some are more up to the challenge than others.

LETTING IT FLY? WHERE ARE THE WINGS

‘Letting it fly’ is another way of saying, ‘Is that all you’ve got?’ One of my goals in life is not backing down to fear. Am I afraid of a famous tea room? Yes, but I let it fly. How did I get over this unreasonable fear? I had help.

“Nothing to fear, nothing to see, move along.” It’s just Winston Churchill strolling in his front yard. We had a Churchill lesson at his place, then another in his London war rooms. Our dude didn’t have smooth seas on the trip to joining the immortals of history.

If a writer isn’t complaining, what are the other options? After a quick look since I came up with nothing, it’s praise. Praising. But we’re not used to praising. That needs to change.

MUNDANE LIFE? CONGRATULATIONS

Fear the mundane life, or celebrate the accomplishment? The more the pace of life speeds up, and you don’t, the more your effort shines. Who knew normal and ordinary could feel so good? But there’s a problem. Not everyone gets it.

PERSUASIVE POWER OF WORDS NOT SPOKEN

My persuasive power, if any, comes with words attached. It comes with observation that hopefully morphs into helpful insights. Or, when I swing and miss it’s just another load of ‘look at me’ like my blogging brethren. Let’s take a look together, shall we?

A fearful life is riding a NYC subway at night in the Seventies. This is what my ride looked like. I took the train from Brooklyn, up Manhattan, and over to Queens. It seemed like scary ride at night. Why the fear?
