CHEMO STORY FROM THE MEMOIR WIP

One chemo story is not much different than another: Cancer diagnosis, testing, further testing, test some more, then sign up for the juice. Not much different until it’s you, and it’s your story. So why not write it? Here’s what it looks like:

FITNESS WORK STARTS WITH . . .

Fitness work starts with a glancing look in a mirror, a reflection in a window. Or your wife asking, “What happened?” However, if you’re not married, no problem. There are still plenty of body shaming opinions shared quietly. Just not with you.

TAKE STRENGTH FROM YOUR COGNITION POWER

Take strength from knowing who you are. If you don’t know, or feel unsure, spend some time to think about it. But don’t be disappointed if you’re wrong. Things change, you change, we all change. Besides, if you don’t already know who you really and truly are, who does?
