NORMAL HUMAN NEEDS. NORMAL?

Normal human needs seem pretty obvious? They aren’t much different than the other animals in the jungle. Air to breath. Clean water, shelter, clothing. The basics.

GREAT WRITING: WHEN WORDS MATTER MORE

From Google AI on current sentence construction:   Basic Structure: Subject-Verb-Object (SVO) Subject: Who/what the sentence is about (e.g., Matt). Verb: The action or state of being (e.g., eats). Object: Receives the action (e.g., pizza). Example: “Matt eats pizza.”

SEPARATION DAY, EVERY VETERAN’S DAY

Separation day is the day you become a veteran. You get your papers and hit the road. My veteran road began in New Jersey, Fort Dix to be specific, which has a new role to play. The Army road began in Fort Ord, which also has a new role. From one September to another two […]

FIRE STARTER FOR YOUR FACE: MATCHBOOKS

If you smoke cigarettes you need a fire starter. It won’t light itself. A few decades ago, quite a few, it seemed like everyone smoked. I worked in an office in the early 80’s that allowed smoking at your desk. Some people did it with a smoke filter, others just let it rip when they […]

THE PAPER CEILING FIRE

PERSONAL OBLIGATIONS = FAIRNESS?

We all have personal obligations of one kind or another. Some carry more weight than others. It’s like being a Cowboys fan because some distant relatives sent fan magazines when you were a kid. And your Dad was a Packers’ fan which created a hard line of obligation. How hard?

RESISTANCE TRAINING = BETTER LIFE

I believe in resistance training for a better life. Call it a core belief for one and all. Does everyone benefit from resistance? Yes they do, but there is resistance out there.

MARATHON MINDSET OFF THE TRACK

I hear marathon mindset and the number 332 pops up. Three hours and thirty-two minutes, the longest 3:32 I can remember. Soooo long it felt never ending, but it all worked out after twenty-six miles. If things don’t work out, then it’s not the end, which is often a problem.
