PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN REMINDERS

Who needs a Personal Development Plan? A PDP? More like who doesn’t. From cradle to grave we’re either doing personal development, or planning personal development. It’s good to have a plan to work. But if your goal, your plan, is to become a world class jackass, keep working.

THE NON-BLOG BLOG REPORT

One of my non-blog blog readers had something to say, which is nice. They liked the travel posts from England better than the current production. We ended with a promise to get together and share half-lies, speculation, and innuendo. I like the plan because I like good readers with a lively opinion.

TRAVEL PLANS FOR HUSBAND AND WIVE JOY

Travel plans for a couple means cooperation. If you are having trouble communicating, take a trip to clear things up. There’s something special about arguing six thousand mile away from home. What’re you gonna do? Get along.

BEST OF TIMES, WORST OF TIMES, THEN WHAT

After living through the best of times, there’s only one way to go. What’s better than the best? The correct answer is nothing, but that’s not the answer you’ll get from drunks and drug addicts. It’s hard to tell any time when you’re numbed to reality.

Luckily I had a decompression day yesterday for lifting in the gym, a sauna, and a walk out in the fields before a nice dinner. Vacation, right? Or ‘Mission Possible.’

EXTRA EFFORT? WHO’S THE JUDGE

There you are doing your best, trying your hardest, and a voice in your head says, ‘You’d do better with a little extra effort.’ If you’ve heard it, do you know where it come from? A coach, a teacher, a parent. “You could be somebody if you actually applied yourself.”

REGRET FREE LIVING? OK BOOMER

Regret free living is a goal to start out, then things change. One day anything is possible. The next? Not so much. Somehow we learn about our limitations, that we need to accept things as they are. But, correct me if I’m wrong, there’s still some wiggle room.

RIGHT THING? YOU KNOW HOW TO DO IT

Doing the ‘right thing’ used to be easier. Maybe is was because baby boomers didn’t have as many choices for doing wrong? I didn’t see a lot of choices besides ‘Do what you’re told’ growing up. From parents, to teachers, to coaches, scout leaders, and beyond, we were told what to do by people we […]
