“CALLS OUT” PUT ‘ON THE SPOT’

What does “calls out” mean other than another way of saying “Hey You?”
““Why Do You Have To Leave Practice?”: Michael Irvin Calls Out Justin Herber.””
If you’re ‘calling someone out’ it’s most likely about something that’s none of your business.
Calls Out = Nosey Nellie? For example:

A former player with a job in sports media needs to stay relevant so they look for scabs to pick.
The best way to do that is being loud and bold and personal.
The best way to show how desperate you’ve become after being accused of shady behavior?
Find a bandwagon, jump on it, and take it over a cliff just after you’ve jumped.
Show the public you haven’t lost a step with your mouth, which is the last step before shutting it down.

Pro Bowl QB Calls Out Ex-ESPN Colleague

My dog calls out squirrels every chance she gets.
She’ll never get one, at least I hope she never gets one, but the impulse is to get one, or get riled up.
We of the writing type call ourselves out every day for chasing squirrels.
‘Are we writing? What are we writing? Shouldn’t we be doing something else? Anything else?’
Instead, we write. We also do everything else, but we write, and that’s the way we like it.
I love writers who call themselves out on their choices.
Clean house, or write?
Go to the store, or write?
Plan events, or write?
Left weights, or write?
Once the people around you get used to the routine, you’ll write.
You’ll sit down to write with the scope of the universe in front of you, unless you have a personal deadline, or word count.
Time unfolds in a way that shows Einstein was right, unless you have an appointment, a meeting, a pick-up.
Life gets in the way of writing, or writing gets in the way of life?

Fluent Spanish-speaker calls out his brother’s girlfriend

I’m calling out a baby boomer, a self-assured, do anything, ‘I’m smarter than you,’ baby boomer who exemplifies the need for communication and public watch dogs.
This entitled man knows his rights and stands his ground and waves his flag with the best of them.
He also sprayed a chemical on his property that drifted onto his neighbor’s gardens.
No head’s up, no notification, just a lingering stink in the air that lasted for days.
Neighbors asked about it, learned about it, and everyone was so sorry it happened.
Now they have to throw all of the ripe vegetables away, along with a foot of dirt, as per manufacturer’s recommendation.
Oooopsie.
I’m masking up and getting in there so the young people with their lives in front of them don’t learn about the contaminants down the road.
I’m already down the road, but can still plow the land up, and I will. Giddyup.
Look for images in the near future, just none showing homegrown lettuce and tomatoes and cucumbers in the freshest salads this side of the Garden of Eden.

PS:

Who calls out chemical manufacturers for putting casual poison out on the market?
Safe For Lawn And Garden, So Far, We think.

PSS:

Who believers a chemical manufacturer who says, “This product will kill on contact with everything but you and your kids.”
If you call out the products used by a neighbor with little regard for nature, science, or common decency, be gentle.
They might be idiots; they mighty be sensitive; they might be sensitive idiots.
