BOOMER BLOGGERS UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL. TOO CLOSE?

As a cohort of boomer bloggers, I read all about them.
From posts and opinions, to ABOUT pages, we’re all about challenges and adventures, the places we’ve been, places we’re going.
Take this picture for example. It’s from the Portland Art Museum page.
Does that big golden ring look like an adventure, some kind of portal? Yes?
What do you do when you see a portal? Jump in.

Too up close and personal? I saw it and it looked like a good shot, the same way I pose under lights for a halo effect. (Saint David here.)
Portals aren’t for everyone.
There was one between NYC and Dublin like FaceTime.

Maybe it’s still there, but it was shut down when someone in NY bounced in with this:

While I’m not suggesting anything salacious at the art museum, that golden ring has some sassy allure in the right light.
So far I’ve seen no evidence of such outrageous behavior in Portland.
I’m not looking, but if a reader leaves a link to nudity in the golden ring I won’t delete it.
Just make sure it’s up to the standards of the art museum, not the standards of the random flasher.
You’ll know the difference? It’s a Portland challenge.

The Lowdown On Boomer Bloggers

The first rule is paying attention, staying alert, and being prepared.
Prepared for what? That’s the whole deal, be prepared for any and everything.
So don’t wonder why people are anxious and nervous They’re staying prepared for you.
We’re staying prepared for whatever.
This seems like a nice lady-blog.
Another nice lady-blog to check out.
These two were the top links on a google search for baby boomer blogs.
The lady bloggers rule google.
Do they include an international onlyfans flasher? Oh, grow up.
One more up close and personal link to boomer bloggers.

Advice To Boomer Bloggers

Go ahead and post inspiring travel stories and guides for mature women.

I’m married to a mature woman who kicks ass; mostly mine, and mostly inspiring.

Focus on reinvention after fifty.

Add another twenty years then come and talk to me.

Provide resources, lifestyle articles, and expert advice on aging well.

PS:

A baby boomer blogger ought to convey the possibility of not aging into a bitter husk of a failed human blaming the world for the condition they find themselves in.
A writer with a heart won’t take it out on the reader, won’t subject them to the sort of bile they rail against.
If you sound like a jackass when you’re describing jackasses? Don’t do that.

PSS:

I am curious as to how many of us baby boomer bloggers have kids who take pride in not reading our blogs, criticize the time spent writing, and argue just to say, “There’s some blog material for you.”
If you’ve got that going on, count yourself lucky. I’m so very, very, lucky like that.
You’re lucky too if you’ve heard, “No one reads your blog, so why waste your time?”
Thank you for reading. Next inspiring, motivational, groundbreaking post, comes out tomorrow.
