CITIZENSHIP TEST: ARE YOU JERK?

CITIZENSHIP TEST

A citizenship test for America needs to ask this question to new arrivals:

Are you now, or have you ever been, a jerk, a punk, a piece of work?

It’s not a disqualifying question for being a good citizen.

You can be a jerk and still be a citizen.

We just need to know ahead of time since we’ve got an abundance of jerks already.

Let the test begin:

Who is currently the President of the U.S.?

The correct answer is Joe Biden.

However, if you said Donald Trump is currently president because he was cheated out of a second term from dirty cheaters who cheated him so badly that he’s never recovered and keeps his story of being cheated locked into The Big Lie, you might be a jerk.

But to be sure, ask your dad if he’d load up his vintage Peacemaker and shoot you if you reported him for being an insurrectionist. Then let him know you’d deserve it.

Ask you mom how she’d feel if Trump stopped by for a little grab-action. If she said she’d be thrilled at the honor, let her know you’re onboard for that Trump hand jive, too.

What are the two primary political parties in the U.S.?

The correct answer is Democratic Party and Republican Party.

If you said Trump Party because only Trump knows what’s best for American interests here and abroad and only Trump understands people deep in their souls because of his experience of making and breaking promises to workers, men, women, people he likes, people he doesn’t like, along with his vitality, his glow, and his captivating public speaking and tweeting.

If you said all of this, you might be a jerk.

What are the three entities (branches) of the U.S. government?

The correct answer is the Executive Branch, the Legislative Branch and the Judicial Branch.

If you said, “The Trump Branch and nothing else matters,” you might be a jerk.

A citizenship test is about American citizenship, not cult membership. Let’s remember this.

A Bad Citizen Trump Example

America doesn’t need more bad citizens.

If you want to travel to a new land so you can gather a bunch of followers who will do what you tell them, like storm the Capitol on Jan. 6, why not choose another landing place.

We’ve already got that guy, and his fans want more of him and less of anyone else.

Why is this? I’ll give it a shot:

Donald Trump is a poster boy for bootstrapping your way to the top, for applying sound business and money management practices to accumulate wealth. We could all learn so much.

To his followers, Donald Trump is a bare-knuckle fighter, a miner like Big Bad John, a lumberman like Paul Bunyan, a cowboy like Pecos Bill. He’s bigger than life and twice as strong as anyone who ever lived, even if they’re made up characters who never breathed a breath of American air.

If you passed, or feel you could pass, the citizenship test, then you know exactly who Trump is, and who he thinks he is.

Passing The Citizenship Test

First, register to vote. Then vote in all elections big and small. Put your stamp on your citizenship privileges.

Try and understand how and why there is so much noise about Roe v Wade, how rushing to install Supreme Court Justices during the Trump term was an act of backscratching, and why no president should never call American servicemen and women who died in war “losers and suckers.”

If you see a self-aggrandizing puppet show master running for any office, make an effort to vote them down.

You don’t need a dog catcher who thinks they’re too good for the job their running for, a city council person who hates their city, or a president who has a problem understanding which side they’re supposed to be on.

A note from North Korea is not a ‘love letter.’

The word of a foreign leader, a dictator hostile to America, is not a more credible source of information than the U.S. intelligence network.

Extorting dirt from a foreign leader in exchange for defense weaponry to be used against a dictator hostile to America is not part of the president job description.

Trump’s continuing adulation of Putin is a disqualifying characteristic for being a good citizen.

There’s no room at the inn for a former president who can’t tell the difference between a Russian gangster and a legitimately elected official in Ukraine.

If Trump is confused, his followers must be flabbergasted

Are you flabbergasted, too?

Or, are you a good citizen?
