HISTORY PEOPLE IN OUR MIDST

History people carry a little extra with them. That’s the off-putting part because too many of them add their own extras. Does history need extra, or is ‘what happened’ good enough? I’m in the ‘good enough’ camp, and here’s why:

PORTLAND WEED: A SHORT HISTORY

Portland weed once came out of Goose Hollow Inn men’s room. A dealer worked from a stall with a full waiting room outside, according to sources. Like all good history, BoomerPdx relies on primary sources and historical relevance to reflect past life. If that life takes a turn into hardcore drug addiction, it’s a life […]

LONELY PEOPLE: WHERE DO THEY ALL COME FROM

Lonely people come from the same place you come from. How can that be? They didn’t seem lonely. Why would they be lonely? As if you need to ask.

SEE ME FEEL ME/LISTENING TO YOU

“See Me, Feel Me” is The Who inviting their audience to wake up. Right behind you, I see the millionsOn you, I see the gloryFrom you, I get opinionFrom you, I get the story That was in 1969. What’s changed since then? What hasn’t?

TOXIC HISTORY FOR MODERN TIMES

Toxic history is nothing new for baby boomers. You could say the same for every generation aging out, closer to the end than the beginning of life. That’s how it works if you don’t pay attention. Toxic old people push the toxic envelope to the max because they see time running out.

FOLLOWING FOOTSTEPS ACROSS ANCIENT LANDS

Travelers specialize in following footsteps laid down before them. It’s unavoidable. Sometimes it’s part of a larger plan and sometimes we don’t realize we’re treading ancient paths walked for thousands of years. Take a stroll down unknown history with a walk along any river bank. A travel plan for ancient land should include Paris because […]
