GRACE AND DIGNITY FOR AGING MILLENNIALS

I became my ‘brother’s keeper’ through misjudgment, and it wasn’t my brother but my father in-law.
Same idea, though. I think it’s the same idea.
And it was misjudgment, not a mistake.
What happened?

ONE STORY ENDS, ANOTHER BEGINS

At a certain age you know how the story ends.
Things change, someone moves, you drift away.
But you still have memories, sweet memories, and that’s enough?
Noooooo. A good, long, “Noooooooo.”

WHAT TIME IS IT? WRITING TIME

It’s writing time, so pick up that pen, open that lap top, turn on the faucet, and let it pour.
Is it pouring yet? How about now? Let it out.
You’ve made a decision to write, so write.
What’s the problem? I’ll go first.

BABY BOOMER MUSEUM

The take away from a Baby Boomer Museum is awareness. A visit to a big museum should make you ask, “How do they decide what to keep?” It’s the same question you’ll ask later, wondering why you bought anything in the gift store. Unless you say, “I needed another tea towel,” you need a better […]

ELON MUSK JOINS THE SHARING ECONOMY WITH TESLA PATENTS

And Slaps George Selden’s Face In The Act. In a rare case of reverse capitalism, visionary Elon Musk gave away the farm by open sourcing Tesla electric automobile patents. He gave it away instead of using the patents to sue everyone who infringed on the technology. Now auto makers the world around have access to […]

Sasquatch Music Festival, Travel Therapy and Spa, Part 1

I collect things. Experiences, memories, a garage and crawl space full of important things saved for important people.   It’s almost like I haven’t heard the big news that kids don’t want their parents’ important stuff yet. Even bigger news? I have heard some parents share new memories with their kids instead of […]

THE EXPLOSIVE BEAUTY OF THE NW

One Rule: Everything Changes. No, this isn’t the only region with snow on the mountains and this isn’t the only mountain. The Cascade Range pops up like continental acne, fueled by ocean crust diving under the heavier land plates, melting, and voila, volcanos. Capturing the power of geological force is one thing, capturing elemental force […]
