Athletes Strive For Success, Oregon Sports Awards Serve Notice. Who remembers their first sports achievement? Was it learning to swim? Catching a ball? Running faster than a brother or sister? GROWING UP AND STAYING SHARP

Growing up is a decision. It’s a decision to be on time, show up ready to go, and inspire others by your example. Like writing a blog, lol. The biggest decision to make? Decide to stay sharp, in spite of having sons.

NORTHWEST PORTLAND, NOVEMBER 12, 2024

My Northwest Portland stroll started on Burnside and 23rd. This is the view looking across Burnside: The Envoy. I met a guy who lived there. He said it was great. That’s good enough for me.

DAMAGED MEN DON’T ASK FOR BAND-AIDS?

Damaged men are all around, but you’d never know it. Why? Not because they tell you, because they don’t. In a show and tell world, they do the show part better than the tell part.

NEXT YEAR, MAYBE THE YEAR AFTER

Next year shows up fast, so fast that you haven’t gotten over anything from the last year. Suddenly you’re stacking the new ‘get over it’ on top of the old ‘get over it.’ You used to care about getting over things. What happened? This happened:
