FULL HOUSE WITH A HOUSEFUL

A full house comes in a variety of forms. But you knew that. There’s cards, then there’s my houseful last night. How full?

BIG PLANS FOR A SMALL TOWN

Big plans come with big responsibilities. Such as? Such as, if you buy stuff for a plan and fail, you’re stuck with the stuff and no plan. Or, like so many, you pretend the fail was part of the original plan. See how easy that was? All done, but . . .

COMFORT BLOG LIKE COMFORT FOOD, BUT LESS FATTENING

Comfort blog? You don’t know it, but you need one. Fortunately I write one. But why is it comforting? What’s more comforting than Jeff Bridges explaining the origins of life? By his measure, I’m a nine year old.

There’s more food on the table. Have another plate. If it’s Super Bowl Sunday you’ll ruin your team’s chances if you don’t gorge yourself. The barbecued little sausages won’t eat themselves. Grab a toothpick. Homemade Buffalo wings? Right there.

STORY BUILDING FROM THE BOTTOM UP

Story building is something you learn through trial and error? Or learn from graduate programs and writing conferences? Or reading? Lots of Reading? Don’t be shocked to think it’s all of that and more. But, where to start? Why not the beginning?

DEATH WISH? IT’S JUST A STAGE

Death wish yourself into being a better person? “If I can’t be who I think I am I’d rather die.” Is that a wish, or a condition? I don’t know, but what I do know is ‘the end’ is the end. Most of the time.
