STORY MEDICINE PRESCRIPTION: READ AND WRITE

Story medicine is good for what ails you. Why? Because you deserve a break. Things go bad, and you read a story about something worse? You might feel better. But what about when things are going good, never been better. What story is going to improve that?

CALL THE MEDIC. ALL BETTER?

Call the medic when there’s something wrong, anything at all. MEDIC. Right here, pal. Calm down. All better? Good.

PROBLEM SOLVER OR TROUBLE MAKER

There are two people you meet over and over, the problem solver and the trouble maker. There’s a thin line between the two. Why? Sometimes it’s the same person. Then you end up with twice the problems.

WWII DOCUMENTARIES SHOW TOO MUCH DEATH

POWER TOOTH FILLS THE GAP

The power tooth, as defined on this blog, is more than a tooth. It is all your teeth, a lifetime of teeth. Is that powerful enough for you to keep up with them? More importantly, powerful enough for me, the tooth blogger?

DEATH WISH? IT’S JUST A STAGE

Death wish yourself into being a better person? “If I can’t be who I think I am I’d rather die.” Is that a wish, or a condition? I don’t know, but what I do know is ‘the end’ is the end. Most of the time.

STORY MEDICINE AND THE CURE

Story medicine is what you see and hear. Think of it like going out for music: Is it, “Let’s get tickets and go see Taylor Swift?” Or, “Let’s get tickets to hear Taylor Swift?” It’s both. Around here we call that, “The Deuce.”
