Peace and friendship are the right ingredients for changing times and what goes better with it than a dangerous looking beard?

If you’ve never had one hanging off your face, if you’re a woman or a light shaver, a dangerous looking beard sends a message.

One beard message is, “This man is too busy thinking about important things, too important to waste time pulling a razor blade across their face.”

The other message:

‘I’m hygienically challenged and can’t be trusted with sharp things unsupervised.’

 

 

The aging process doesn’t hit the same for everyone.

A beard spruces it up. It adds maturity and gravity to the owner. Call it an appearance of maturity and gravity.

If you want to look ten years younger and twenty pounds lighter, shave your beard.

It happens every time I get to the point of ‘looking good enough to grow another month with a chance for Santa length by Christmas.’

I shaved off a good start the other day and went right back to 1984 and the Seaside Marathon. (3:32)

 

 

Changing times have certain requirements, like what is changing and where is it headed.

Remember to maintain a good foundation of belief and knowledge during such times.

Do you take online medical advice to heart?

Do you give medical advice online and feel offended when it’s not taken to heart?

I was a medic in the U.S. Army and a Boy Scout and I don’t give medical advice, nor do my feelings hurt if I make a suggestion that isn’t followed.

 

“If you get cut and are bleeding, rinse the wound and apply direct pressure.”

“I’m not falling for that trick you charlatan quack.”

“It’s basic first aid.”

WebMD:

Apply direct pressure on the cut or wound with a clean cloth, tissue, or piece of gauze until bleeding stops.

“I know your type, you think you know everything.”

Mayo Clinic:

For severe bleeding, take these first-aid steps.

• Call 911 or your local emergency number if the wound is deep or you’re not sure how serious it is.Don’t move the injured person except if needed to avoid further injury.

  Before checking for the source of the wound, put on disposable gloves and other personal protective equipment if you have them.

• Remove any clothing or debris from the wound. Look for the source of the bleeding. There could be more than one injury. Remove any obvious debris but don’t try to clean the wound. Don’t remove large or deeply embedded objects, and don’t probe the wound.

• Stop the bleeding. Cover the wound with sterile gauze or a clean cloth. Press on it firmly with the palm of your hand until bleeding stops. But don’t press on an eye injury or embedded object. Don’t press on a head wound if you suspect a skull fracture.

  Wrap the wound with a thick bandage or clean cloth and tape. Lift the wound above heart level if possible.

I know doctors and nurses whose medical advice I do follow, mostly follow. So should you.

If you too are almost a doctor then you know the Number One rule:

But take a big breath and drop into the glop with a plop?

You may have the makings of a health official in 2026.

Older people complain about the times they live in, comparing them to their good old days.

It’s all good until you learn more about those good old days and what the older people were up to.

Say you get an urge to do something logical and vote. So vote.

But there’s more. You feel compelled to help others see your logic, so you go to meetings of like minded peoples in the community.

It’s called a democracy, people. That’s what people do in a democracy.

But you know that. You do know that.
