‘NOTHING TO FEAR’ WITH WINSTON CHURCHILL AND GEORGE CLOONEY

“Nothing to fear, nothing to see, move along.” It’s just Winston Churchill strolling in his front yard. We had a Churchill lesson at his place, then another in his London war rooms. Our dude didn’t have smooth seas on the trip to joining the immortals of history.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN REMINDERS

Who needs a Personal Development Plan? A PDP? More like who doesn’t. From cradle to grave we’re either doing personal development, or planning personal development. It’s good to have a plan to work. But if your goal, your plan, is to become a world class jackass, keep working.

OLD FOLKS TALKING IT OUT ON TELEVISION

Why would old folks not rest on their laurels? Either they’re not tired, or they have no laurels. Last night’s Presidential Debate showed more than just the candidates. It also showed the problem with the format.

Opinions are my own, based on historical review from a history guy out of Portland State. Beginning in 1952, what are the lasting messages […]

MARATHON LIFE RULE: START STRONG AND FINISH

I lived the marathon life rule in my twenties. At twenty-nine I took the plunge in Seaside. The image is at the start of the race. No, I’m not a giant, but maybe in this crowd. One does not simply ‘run’ a marathon without consequences, not if you plan on a one and done event, […]
