EMOTIONAL CALLOUSES GROW WITH LIVING LIFE?

Emotional callouses are one way of navigating difficult times. The problems start after difficult times pass. Should you rip the callouses off like an old bandaid, or let it ride? Before you decides, review those hards times so you know the possibility of them returning.

DECISION MAKING BEHIND THE CURTAIN

Decision making used to be a coin flip. To be, or not to be; go, or no go. Were those simpler days, or just poor memories? Social media says hold my beer.

BE SOMEBODY? THERE ARE CLUES ALONG THE WAY

You’ve heard the request to ‘be somebody?’ Be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, and more. The request usually comes from an adult speaking to someone who screwed up. They ask why we can’t be better than what we’re in trouble for. It’s different when we’re in trouble with ourselves.

HOMEWARD BOUND? YES WE ARE

Homeward bound is the goal of all travelers. First it’s all about getting out and around, seeing new places and new people. Then it happens. Whether a face, a building, or something you eat, you’re ready to turn the corner and head for home. That’s the story, but . . .

They knew plenty about man’s failure. And shared it. […]

DECISION MAKERS: MEN WHO NEED SOMEONE TO BLAME

Decision makers are the last word, the final word. If you don’t believe it, just ask one. There’s no lack of men ready to jump and claim the title of Top Dog. “This is my final decision,” they say. But it rarely is final. Go to court and lose? File an appeal. Go to a […]
