HISTORY MATTERS MORE THAN OPINIONS? USUALLY

History matters when someone starts explaining things beyond their grasp. If you don’t understand the basics of a single topic, then everything sounds authoritative. So how is it possible to tell the difference between a crackpot and a legitimate source? If you trust a blogger who gets with it an a daily basis, you’re on […]

HITCHHIKING WITH BOOMERPDX IN YOUNGER TIMES

Thumbing A Wrestling Ride. The late, great, Rick Sanders traveled light and alone, hitchhiking down the road. He might have been alone, but not lonely. UNIFORM POWER CHANGES PEOPLE

Buffalo Men In Blue Serving And Protecting If you’ve never seen uniform power up close, keep reading. This post might shed light on how people change when they put on a uniform with a bunch of other people. Or you might want to skip the read, after all, it’s just another old white male boomer, […]

NOSY IS DIFFERENT IF YOU’RE THE NOSY ONE?

Who’s the nosy one in your circle of people? Do they still have their noses? If they do, maybe they’re not nosy enough; that’s where we come in.

EMPATHY ADDICTION: IT HURTS WHEN I FEEL

ESSENTIAL READING TO IGNORE . . . AT YOUR OWN RISK

One blogger’s essential reading is another’s fire-starter; that’s just how it is. Except the book in Ken Kesey’s hand won’t start any fires today, not the way it started fires in his younger days.
