EARLY TO WORK EVERY DAY

In my field if you’re not early to work, you’re late.
If you’re late you can’t be a blogger?
No, you can be late and blog, late and write, and it’s a good idea to be late.
Being late builds demand. Can’t you feel it?
But not too late.
What do you do when you have a moment of clarity, an epiphany?
For normal people one moment passes to the next in some kind of smooth order, which is what you hope for, then they get a good night’s sleep.
For others, each moment is a door, open or not, a door to notice.
It turns out the earlier you notice, the more you’ll see and do.
So be early, get out front.
I take my own advice on this and pop up around six each morning.
Each day is a new one, so I don’t pop up with pre-loaded crap to spew out.
Not me, I look for new crap, new inspiration, and I want it fast to meet my self-imposed deadline.
With that goal in mind, I keep the pressure on, which makes me aware of how lucky I am to take it.
I’ve been the beneficiary of science and medicine in our modern era, without which I’d be a dead man.
Seriously, dead. It happens all the time, people dying, but not all are on schedule.
I got cancer, didn’t fuck around and find out, and here we are. Other’s don’t get that message and they die.
I was early to work every day as if my life depended on it.

PS:

There’s a saying that goes like this: If you’re not early, you’re late.

PSS:

It’s not too late to start doing anything if you start now.
Somewhere between ‘not old enough’ and ‘too old’ there’s a sweet spot for most everything.
Try something different. You might even be good at it.
Warming: Don’t stand behind the person who is always early to work when they start their ride when they leave.
