I said READ, punk. Read a lot. Read BoomerPDX. Do it. via aarp.org
Why is “BLACK TAR HEROIN, SAM QUINONES, AND DREAMLAND” the most read?
This week’s Most Read tally:
The Dreamland post about America’s opiate addiction is a heavy hitter week after week.
I’ll tell you right now, I’m sick of it. I’m sick of seeing a black tar heroin post every time I land on boomerpdx.
Sick. Of. It. Do you hear me?
So just stop being drug addicts and feeding the pipeline for your mainline. All right?
I say I’m sick, but not as sick as withdrawal from a nasty heroin habit. That’s a special sort of sick from all reports.
And not as sick as family and friends who see a junkie who looks just like you.
What didn’t take the top spot away from black tar heroin in the most read survey?
A two part series for new bloggers after being asked about blogs, bloggers, and blogging.
A three part series of art in America and the artist Hans Schiebold in particular.
The most current, Ten Thousand Things Theater In Prison, didn’t hit the top. Yet.
There’s always the ‘yet’ because my heroin post is far from new.
One theory in the blogosphere deals with traffic and when to reveal your numbers.
Most new bloggers take traffic seriously. If they don’t get traffic and comments, then they’re a huge failure and their blog a waste of time.
If they don’t ever show numbers to back up their effort, how can you trust them? What else are they hiding.
Here at BoomerPdx we’re not good at hiding and we don’t practice to get better.
Instead, you see an extremely productive writer taking aim where the targets pop up.
If heroin addiction is the big target, then more people need to read posts like BLACK TAR HEROIN, SAM QUINONES, AND DREAMLAND.
Watching video of convicts watching plays produced by Ten Thousand Things theater made me wonder how many of them are inside on non-violent drug offenses?
Imagine a blog post helping them out?
