THE JOHN ROSSI PODCAST FROM MT. ANGEL

I drove down to Mt. Angel for the John Rossi Podcast yesterday.
It began in Lou’s Kitchen.
After watching video John posts on facebook from Lou’s, along with shots of food, I got excited to go.
The reuben sandwich was especially enticing, so that’s what I got.
I’ve been a reuben fan ever since my first one from the old Rose’s on NW 23rd that was served as a double decker.
Lou’s reuben was a contender for best ever, so good I had to save half for my wife to convince her.
She was so convinced she cut the half in half and saved the last quarter to taunt me with today.
There was something about Lou’s Kitchen that felt just right.

There was something about Mt. Angel driving in, too.
The last time I’d been there was Octoberfest at night.
This time I rolled in at noon, passed by the city sign, then a graveyard with plenty of room for expansion.
It felt welcoming.

A Podcast Omen

In a world of infinite choices, be like Lou’s and choose kindness.
I think that will be a choice for Rossi Podcast, too.
We talked about what it will take to make that happen.
John recently heard from a music publishing company to stop using their product.
As a baby boomer, the product he used was a fifty year old song that’s been forgotten by most.
The publishing company didn’t want some free advertisement?
Boomerpdx got a call about a picture once with the same issue. It wasn’t my picture.
I wrote back to the photographer, apologized, and deleted it.
My Mom once took offense at a post I wrote and wanted it to disappear.
I explained what it was about, how I would edit it, and she felt better.
I was impressed that she got online and found the blog, though she may have had some help.
The Rossi Podcast will be easy to find.

Traveling At The Speed Of Willpower

After leaving Lou’s, John and I cruised around town in his rig.
One thing became evident: He knows everyone in Mt. Angel and everyone knows him.
After reading about how birth month predicts what you ought to be doing, I think we’re going in the right direction.
This fits me to a tee.

December: The Ambitious Explorer
December personalities are known for their strong ambitions and adventurous spirit. Influenced by Sagittarius or Capricorn, they often dream big and work hard to turn those dreams into reality.
These individuals crave growth, recognition, and experiences that broaden their understanding of the world. They are rarely satisfied with standing still for too long.
Many December born people thrive in history, archaeology, travel writing, museum work, business leadership, or research. They enjoy careers that combine learning with achievement.
Their greatest strength is their ability to stay hopeful and determined even during difficult chapters of life.

I’m all about the history, museum work, and research, all of the things that go along with writing a compelling narrative.
What will it mean for Rossi Podcast?
We talked about it while walking around the Abbey.
The conversation was wide ranging and endless and I’m happy about that.
Guys in a band start by hanging out and getting to know each other better, playing songs, then buying a van and going on tour.
It felt like the start of something with the talk that sounded like confessions for each of us.

Me: We ought to catch our talk on video.
John: The Rossi Podcast will try and capture the moment.

PS:

Have you made plans to make something together with others?

PSS:

Getting started is the hard part, followed by the other hards parts.
Yesterday was a start, a good start.
