TAKING TURNS: YOUR TURN, THEN MINE? MAYBE

Taking turns is simple.
You go, then someone else goes, then someone else.
Then it’s your turn again.
Or not.
Maybe it’s never been your turn? Uh oh.
It’s never been your turn, will never be your turn, and time is running out?
If desperation kicks in some people jump on a one way street with no plans to return, but they do.
That’s why I cheer like hell for everyone brave enough to stand up and say, “I’ve got an idea.”
Isn’t that how big things start?
First an idea, then a garage, and then, and then?
American Express looked into that garbage.

One thing is constant: where you make something happen isn’t as important as making it happen.
Whether it’s a food business or another home-based venture, you can turn nothing but an idea into something limitless.

Business Insider looked harder.

What I see is hope for anyone with a garage, an apartment, a roof over their head.
Three cheers, then three more, and three more.
I’m cheering for the work of Picture Greater.

A lot of material and ambition has gone into this work, and more work remains!
By supporting me as an artist and writer, I can continue to give my own time, effort, and resources towards making a positive impact.

Taking Turns: The Clap Back

If you believe you have a chance to hit it, to go where few have gone, all you need to do is start something.
One of the reasons I like Picture Greater are the pictures; another is seeing them fade if no one notices why they are so good.

Not everyone views mitigating climate change as their top priority.
Although climate change and the environment impacts us all, numerous socio-economic issues prevent others from being more engaged with the well being of our shared planet.
By working with a variety of organizations we can address multiple causes. I therefore want to provide patrons with the opportunity to choose which organization their spent dollars will benefit.**

He’s not an artist looking to change the world by himself by going down some oneway street.
Instead, he understands the cooperation needed to do anything impactful, and partners with like-minded organizations.
His work has earned my respect and support.
Take a look and see if Picture Greater’s draw is contagious.

Clapping For Others

If you don’t have anyone to clap for until it’s your turn, keep looking.
Maybe it’s your son who says everything is fine; your daughter who says no problem.
Clap for them because, if you’re a certain age like me, you know they could use it.
As fine and problem-free as anyone is, it’s not enough, so keep at it.
Clap for the young families worried about their kids.
Clap for the single women who refuse to settle.
Clap for the guys who know how to be good company.
But, most of all, give yourself a standing ovation now and then.
No matter your age, gender, or beliefs, if you’re better today than you were yesterday, put your hands together.
If you’ve thought of a plan on how to proceed with your day, your week, clap it out.
Why not lend a hand, or foot?
Start by taking turns.
