YES, I CAN HEAR YOU. ARE YOU LISTENING TODAY?

I’m listening today, like every day, for that special spark of something, something interesting, but I’d settle for less.

That’s a big deal with a blog, a big deal for writers, finding a topic to expand on.

These ladies are showing the back catalogue.
Which one’s pink? I don’t know, but I see the dark side of the moon.
Music and celestial events go hand in hand, like Pink Floyd during a Pink Moon.

DARK MOON RISING

The dark moon hit my eye last night in Portland, Oregon.

“I see a bad moon rising.”
It looked huge, this moonrise, and kept getting bigger and more interesting.
What’s not to like about a big moon breaking through the clouds?
Except it wasn’t the clouds. What the heck was going on out there?

FRESH AIR MAKES PEOPLE PEOPLE HUNGRY?

If you’re looking for fresh air, and who isn’t, you’ll find it in abundance at your local nursery where acres of plants release oxygen.
It may not feel, or look, like an oxygen tent, and you’re not a patient, but it does wonders.
If it’s not the air that dazzles you, it’s the colorful blossoms, then the air.

The first step to take when the air conditioning fails on the hottest week of the year, with an even hotter week on the near horizon?   Stop making things hotter. No cooking. Eighty five degrees in the kitchen with nothing on is hot enough.   Thinking of baking a polenta pizza? Maybe flattening […]

MARRIED LANDSCAPE WINNING TACTICS

We play a game at my house called, “I’ll hire the ___ if you can’t do it.”   I like to think it comes with being married to the right person, a visionary.   Fill in the blank with electrician, plumber, carpenter, landscape crew. As long as husband isn’t on the list there’s […]

Late afternoon drizzle fell on the city through fading light. The sun made little effort to split the clouds over the Willamette River. Man 1: It felt like […]
