OREGON ALLERGIES BAD AT #1

Oregon allergies flare up every Saturday of the college football season.
Panelists and podcasters and prognosticators all search the championship landscape of games to find the most important one.
Many agreed it would be Georgia v Texas for the SEC title.
Or SMU v Clemson for the ACC
Allergies choked them out before they could see Oregon v Penn State for the Big 10 title.

Announcer: We’ve got a full slate today, partner.
Color Commentator: We will see the best of the best the 2024 season has to offer today, buddy.
A: The whole thing hinges on the SEC title game.
CC: Texas and Georgia, the cream of the crop.
A: They are the kings of college football, bar none.
CC: It just means more here.
A: Preach it, brother.

Oh, My Watery Eyes

I’m a fan who enjoys the idea of scoreboard.
You win, you lose, or you might go eight overtimes to show utter dominance over a 7-5 Georgia Tech.
Oregon didn’t disappear, did it?
Isn’t #1 still #1, the big boys of big boy football, the top of the hill?
The way the regular talent on TV calls it, the question is Oregon who? Oregon where?
Oh, they’re playing for the Big 10 title against Penn State. Isn’t that right?

A: The Ducks have never seen an offense like Penn State, so complex and layered.
CC: Oregon has had a good run at #1, but now the real season begins and I can’t see them matching up with the Blue Bloods.
A: We’ve seen it happen before with Georgia and TCU finishing 65-7.
CC: Let’s hope for better results with Penn State and Oregon.
A: The Nittany Lion will scare the feathers off of Dan Lanning.

More Respect? Not Yet

Oregon allergies grow more severe with each win.
And with each win, the Ducks are given even less chance of winning against their next opponent.
From the way it looks here, next up will be Ohio State, or Tennessee.

Historically speaking, Georgia gets to the finals in a cake walk.
Boise and Georgia are not equals, but they are equal on this bracket.
Notre Dame swamps Indiana claiming the crown of Kings of Indiana.
Penn State sends SMU to the glue factory.
Boise State has done incredible things, but Penn State is Penn State.
Georgia beats either one.

On the other side of the bracket #1 didn’t matter to the odds makers, but they do now.

With things heating up, fans getting revved, what can we expect to hear about Oregon from the talking heads?

I want to see sold football games, few turnovers and penalties; show how the teams practice.
That’s why I like the Ducks, a solid football team.
Eventually the Oregon allergies will subside.
