Black Death Massacre: 700 Jews of Basel Switzerland, are burnt to death in a specially constructed building on suspicion of poisoning the community during the Bubonic Plague; part of a wave of pogroms across Western Europe.

That’s just January. It gets worse.

Time passing seems less significant when seen through rings of a tree.

They don’t change, we change.

 

PSS:

When you see a tree in the forest it’s not always old growth. It might be a big tree, but probably not from 1349.

This particular tree has more rings beyond 1938. Maybe another fifty years?
