DINGO FAMILY NEWS

I’ve got a dingo family living in my house, but it’s okay since I’m Baby Dingo.
Why am I Baby Dingo? Because Daddy Dingo said so.
Daddy Dingo is a five year old. I didn’t ask how they worked it out.
Momma Dingo is my dog. We’re all happy.
Happy daddy, happy momma, happy baby.
We’re happy because Daddy Dingo is in charge and leading the rest of us in the right direction.
We have school time, dinner time, and bedtime.
The morning alarm goes off soon after we settle in for the night.
Dingo family time is fast.
If you’ve never been hustled into action by a Daddy Dingo, I’ll tell you they are demanding.
When that alarm rings it’s time to go. Not in another five minutes, not three minutes, not a minute, but NOW.
Baby Dingo needs extra sleep? Daddy says go to bed earlier.

Dingo Family?

Being a part of the Dingo family takes a big step.
In the movies it’s called ‘suspension of disbelief.’
In dingo we believe, but I think it’s a phase.
We switched to coyotes and I was still the baby.
In the wolf family? I was baby wolf.
If it’s not a phase, is that a bad thing?
I’m no doctor, but I’m good with the roles we play.
Baby Dingo in the dingo cave? It’s under the table and yes it’s a tight fit.
Daddy Dingo driving the car? Yes, all the way to Hawaii. Baby sat in back with a guitar.
You could say I’m enabling a kid, and you’d be right. All. Day. Long.
A kid wants to be in charge? Lead the way an let’s see where we go.
A kid wants to be in charge as daddy? Makes sense to me.
I’ll say I’m surprised it’s a dingo family led by Daddy Dingo.
The best part? It’s fun to say. Try it. Daddy Dingo.

Why I’m Not Daddy Dingo

I’ve chosen to blog as a baby boomer blogger, to write for writers who are not writing themselves.
You’re welcome.
What this means? I’ll tell you what it means: it’s giving voice to the quiet among us.
You know how to read and write? But do neither?
You don’t know how to read, don’t know how to write?
Whether you know, or don’t know, there are stories told and not heard, along with stories not told.
My take? Someone’s got to do it.
Maybe it’s you when you find time. Or it’s you after you finish that other thing.
I’ll tell you a secret. It’s you when writing and reading is ‘the other thing.’
Right now it’s the five year old and it’s their story I’m telling.
The Dingo Family and the roles come from them.

PS:

Sometimes you choose the role.

Sometimes the role chooses you.
